Safe practices for the use of lasers:
- USE APPROPRIATE LASER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (Goggles, lab coats).
Pay special attention to the wavelength and the brightness specifications of your goggles. - NEVER look directly at the laser beam
- DON’T pick stuff from the floor when your laser is on
- Beware of & minimize/block REFLECTIONS
- Always know where your beam (and reflection) is
- Keep experiment WAY BELOW eye level
- Protect others around you: turn room Laser Light ON, use protective panels
